Privacy Policy
EmojifyMe is designed to work without accounts and without storing the messages you convert. This policy explains what information the service processes, why it processes that information, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we process
Text you submit
When you use the converter, the text you enter is sent to the service so it can be converted and returned to you. Text is processed in memory for that request. The current version does not create user accounts and does not intentionally store submitted text as history.
Basic request data
The service temporarily keeps an anonymous in-memory counter per IP address so it can apply a simple rate limit and remain reliable for everyone. This counter is not linked to your identity, is not used for advertising, and expires when the server process restarts.
Cookie preference
If you choose a cookie preference, the site stores a small cookie called emoji_consent to remember your choice. It does not contain text you converted.
2. How information is used
- to perform text-to-emoji conversion and return the result;
- to apply anonymous rate limits and protect service quality;
- to remember your cookie preference and, when legally required, whether optional tracking is allowed.
EmojifyMe does not sell personal information and does not use submitted text to build profiles or train models.
3. Storage and retention
Submitted text is not intentionally written to a database or message history. Rate-limit data lives in memory, is limited to request frequency, and is reset when the backend restarts. Standard server or edge infrastructure may keep temporary connection logs needed for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
4. Advertising
The page layout reserves advertising positions at the top and bottom of the site. No third-party ads are currently active. If advertising or analytics partners are enabled in the future, this policy will be updated before activation, and EU/UK visitors will be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are used.
5. Cookies
EmojifyMe currently uses only a preference cookie for the consent banner. For more detail, including future third-party cookie types, see the Cookie Policy.
6. Your choices and rights
- Text you enter stays under your control. Do not submit content you do not want processed.
- You may clear cookies in your browser at any time to remove the stored consent choice.
- Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. Since EmojifyMe does not keep personal histories, these rights generally relate to operational data described above.
7. Security
EmojifyMe uses HTTPS when deployed publicly and applies input limits and rate limiting to reduce abuse. No service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
EmojifyMe is a general-purpose text utility and is not directed to children. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your jurisdiction, do not submit personal or sensitive information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or its data practices change. The revision date at the top of this page will be updated when the policy changes.
